Ballet RI: In Motion

The Sandra Bornstein Holocaust Education Center is proud to partner with Ballet RI for the world premiere of a powerful new ballet inspired by the family story of Speakers’ Bureau member Lilliane Birch and her parents’ experiences during the Holocaust.
Part of Ballet RI’s 2026–2027 season, In Motion also features Yury Yanowsky’s Bathers and the company premiere of James Whiteside’s City of Women. The evening concludes with this original work, created in collaboration with the Sandra Bornstein Holocaust Education Center, exploring memory, survival, resilience, and the enduring impact of the Holocaust across generations through the expressive power of dance.
