Dr. Mehnaz Afridi, Director of the Holocaust, Genocide & Interfaith Education Center and Professor of Religious Studies at Manhattan College, will join us to discuss her book “Shoah Through Muslim Eyes.”

Dr. Afridi is believed to be the only Muslim teacher of the Holocaust in the United States and, perhaps, the world.

Join us Sunday, November 6, 2022 at the Cranston Public Library, 140 Sockanosset Cross Rd., from 1:30 to 3:30pm.

About the series:

The purpose of the series is to bring Holocaust education to the greater Rhode Island community. The Baxt Lectures occur annually. The Series began in October, 2013. Topics have included FDR & the Jews, History of Antisemitism, Berlin after the Holocaust and many more topics of interest to the community.

The Baxt Lecture Series is funded by a generous endowment from the late Victor and Gussie Baxt.
