Speaker’s Bureau: Meet a Survivor
One of the most powerful ways to learn about the Holocaust is through human connection. The mission of the SBHEC is to teach the history of the Holocaust in order to promote human dignity & justice, and to serve as a memorial to its victims.
By connecting students and other groups with someone personally affected by the Holocaust, our goal is to give the Holocaust a human face. It has become clear that it is this human face which often makes the Holocaust a powerful reality and cements what you have been teaching into your students’ knowledge base. Rhode Island survivors of the Holocaust, as well as their families & others who were affected, share their personal experience in classrooms and other group settings.
We can help you arrange for a Holocaust survivor to speak to your students or group. Let them hear a first-hand account of those who lived through the Holocaust.
